Host A Drive or Donate Wish List Items
Looking for a valuable community service project or team-building activity for your corporation, school, community organization, or church? We invite you to make a big difference by hosting a donation drive.
Hosting a donation drive is one of the easiest and most fun ways to help provide items we need every day. Whether it’s granola bars, two pocket folders, coffee or copy paper, when people make donations of these items, we can spend more of our cash from grants and donations on direct client services.
How it Works
Determine Item You Will Collect
Before you begin planning your drive, please contact our office to find out about our most urgent needs. You can choose to collect one item or a group of items. We can then work together to organize your drive and be ready to receive your donations and get them to our clients as soon as possible.

Duration of Drive
For schools or businesses, we suggest the drive last no longer than one or two weeks. If the drive is conducted by a neighborhood or youth group/ parenting group, etc. then it should be planned for a single day. This could be a day the group regularly meets.
Spread the Word About Your Donation Drive
Most people want to help. They just need to be asked. Invite, encourage, and even solicit friends, peers, coworkers, family and neighbors to donate to the drive. You might send emails, use postcards or flyers, or post to social media sites like Facebook. Bring up the drive at meetings and group gatherings.
Collect Your Donations
Create a central place to collect donations whether it’s an office lobby, community kitchen or your home. Clearly mark containers for donation drop offs. If a cash or check donation is preferred; simply secure donations as needed to give to us. All checks should be made out to St. Joseph the Worker. We can also accept donations online here.
