Our Mission

The mission of St. Joseph the Worker is to assist homeless, low-income and other disadvantaged individuals in their efforts to become self-sufficient through quality employment.

Our History

St. Joseph the Worker (SJW) was founded in 1988 when Andre House of Arizona volunteers serving dinner in a local park responded to pleas from homeless individuals, “we want to work, but we don’t have the tools.”

At SJW, we know that a job is more than a paycheck—it is everything! We are proud to do one thing: connect people with employment.
