St. Joseph the Worker is an Arizona non-profit 501(c)(3) employment service. We receive funding from individuals, businesses, and foundations. In order to maintain our independence, we currently do not use government funding. Your support is greatly appreciated. There are many ways to get involved, including:

Tax Credit!
By making a donation to St. Joseph the Worker you may be able to help Arizona's working poor and obtain a dollar-for-dollar tax credit toward your AZ state tax obligation. Single qualifiers may qualify for up to $200 and married couples filing jointly may qualify for a tax credit up to $400!
Please consider making a donation to St. Joseph the Worker and help others become self-sufficient tax-payers themselves. This is one cycle we don't want to break!

How does it work?

Tax Credit!

In order to take advantage of the Arizona State Charitable Tax Credit, you must:
  • Itemize your charitable contributions
  • Establish a baseline year of charitable giving (as early as 1996)
  • Increase your charitable giving over your baseline year

3 Easy Steps:
  • Send your check to St. Joseph the Worker (or use your credit card as specified above)
  • You will recieve acknowledgement and verification of your donation by mail
  • Take a dollar-for-dollar tax credit (utilizing AZ Form 321) on your Arizona State Taxes

Tax credits of up to $400 are available, based on your income tax filing status. St. Joseph the Worker is not a tax advisor. As with any financial recommendation, contact a qualified tax professional for expert advice on your specific tax situation. To drop off in-kind donations, please call 602-417-9854. St. Joseph the Worker is located on the Human Services Campus in downtown Phoenix at 1125 West Jackson Street. Donations may be dropped-off at our office anytime during M-F from 7a.m. to 4 p.m. Below are detailed directions to St. Joseph the Worker. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us at 602-417-9854.

Directions to St. Joseph the Worker on the Human Services Campus:
1. From I-10, exit 7th Avenue and go South
2. Turn right (or West) onto Washington (one-way street)
3. Turn a left (or South) onto 9th Avenue
4. Pass Jefferson (next main street), pass Madison (stop sign), and turn right (or West) onto Jackson St.
5. Look for steel black gate on left hand side that says “Volunteer/Visitor Entrance”
6. Enter code # 54998 on the key pad next to the black box or try the page button.
7. Enter parking lot, turn right behind the blue building, park behind the second building (gray)
8. Hit page button on the black box next to the door with the St. Joseph the Worker sign
9. Call 602-417-9854 with any questions.

Be an advocate!

A large barrier for our clients is common misconceptions concerning homelessness and poverty.
